Our team is creative, organised and excellent in managing the details. Each and every team member takes great pride in the part they play in bringing together your special day.
While we do have some basic packages, we specialise in creating a unique celebration for you and your partner, based on what you want.
Our offices are based in Tullamarine, but our team are experienced in working at locations and with vendors in The Yarra Valley, The Macedon Ranges, the beautiful gardens of Melbourne, as well as many unique venues our couples select. In short, we are not restricted to boundaries of where we will work with you to create your special day.
Tahlia joined our family business 5 years ago and is much loved by the couples that she works with. Having completed her studies in Travel and Tourism at William Angliss College, Tahlia worked in administration roles both within and outside the tourism industry and gained valuable experience in organisation and planning. The first wedding she planned was of course her own, in beautiful Bali, and what a wedding it was, you can see the photos of Tahlia and Joe in our gallery. Since then, Tahlia has helped couples plan their wedding day in gardens, wineries, homes, farms and beaches. Happy Footnote: Tahlia and Joe, now have 2 beautiful children, Maya 2 and Billy 4 months.
Assistant Event Planner
Currently studying teaching at university, Ciara has been part of our team for 3 years. We first met Ciara when she came to see us with her mum, when she was helping to organise her Aunty's wedding. We were so impressed by her enthusiasm and lovely manner, we asked her to join our team, which she did, at the beginning of 2017. Starting in our hire division, she now assists with our wedding events on weekends and planning in the office on Fridays.
Business and Marketing Manager
Karyn has many years experience in business management and marketing, across a number of industries, including hospitality. She first fell in love with the wedding industry when she worked weekends and school holidays in her parent's wedding reception business in Ivanhoe, Victoria. During that period, she learned the importance of details, all the big details and the small details into bringing together a successful wedding celebration, which she now applies to Purple Birdcage and our couples.
Harry, Ben, Henry and Foster are from our hire division and are the team behind ensuring our marquees are set up as per the plan. They take great pride in the finished product and have been seen taking photos of their completed jobs, admiring their own work. When they aren't working with us, they are all studying at University.
